This is yet another fantastic place for fishing. We adore the picturesque views of the mountains and river at 2nd Dam. Wind Cave is a wonderful hike, but it is significantly longer and involves climbing uphill, so it may not be an excellent experience for young children. The cave, which is even more of an open archway, is awesome though, and a good pleasant spot to rest after the hike.

The lake is about 7 miles off the primary canyon road, yet worth the drive. The wildflowers in the center of July are stunning. Limber Pine Trail is an easy trail to this massive tree.
